Located within the gated community of Puerto Aventuras, Kasa Hotel Riviera Maya is the newest addition to the Kasa Hotel family, opening in December 2020. Puerto Aventuras is a sleepy golf community, dated in places but still lively at its core. Kasa Hotel Riviera Maya is located right on the lagoon and features a large swimming pool surrounding its restaurant.
We would recommend renting a golf cart to use during your stay. It was a great way to access the nearby beaches and marina for additional dining options. The front desk arranged a cart rental for us and the golf cart was delivered right to our hotel and picked up from the hotel. Very convenient!
The Kasa Hotel Riviera Maya offers a variety of rooms types ranging from a standard hotel room to a three bedroom villa. The apartment style villas can be converted into 2 and 3 bedroom units or sectioned off into individual rooms. Our penthouse suite had a large terrace with plunge pool overlooking the lagoon. The king size bed faced double sliding glass doors leading out to the terrace and amazing resort view.
Each room is saturated in Mediterranean vibes and decor with soft blues and natural natural accents and furniture. The cane back bed was my personal favorite!
One of the most striking features of the Kasa Hotel Riviera Maya is the large lap pool centering the facility. We spent several hours each day splashing around the oversized pool. There is a shallow end on each side of the pool perfect for the kids to enjoy and hammocks sinking into the water for the adults to lounge poolside.
Let’s not forget about the daily happy hour offered from 4pm to 7pm at the swim up bar. All adult beverages are half off! Make sure to try the Kasa Margarita!
Overlooking the pool is the on-sight restaurant, Kocina. Breakfast is served here each morning from 8am until 12pm and is included in the price of your stay.
Lunch and dinner are also available and served daily until around 10:00pm each evening. Everything is fresh, healthy and delicious! You can check out their amazing dinner menu here. We highly recommend the Burrito Bowl, Tuna Tartar and the Chocolate Mousse.
There are several beaches listed on Kasa Hotel’s website in the community of Puerto Aventuras but during our stay the seaweed was particularly bad. The beaches were also more of a lagoon and could be rocky in places.
If you are looking for other activities in the area, we would highly recommend visiting one of the nearby cenotes. Right off highway 307 very close to the entrance to Puerto Aventuras are three cenotes: Cenote Cristalino, Cenote Eden and Cenote Azul.
We spent a very fun morning at Cenote Cristalino when the beaches did not quite meet our expectations. Entrance is 200 pesos per person and 100 for children. Life jackets are provided with your ticket!
The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming! There are no phones in the rooms. You simply download Whats App to communicate with the front desk. Any request will be quickly answered! Just an added bonus to an already wonderful stay at Kasa Hotel Riviera Maya.
